ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Launched in 2024, the Youth in Health Science Summer Program is a collaboration between Dr. Liming Liang, Professor of Statistical Genetics at Harvard University, and the Genomics Research Center, Academia Sinica. This immersive program bridges classroom knowledge with real-world research, introducing students to diverse fields of health science and public health.


Through a dynamic Hackathon, students will work in teams, guided by the professor and PhD student instructors from Harvard and GRC. Participants will learn how to develop and investigate research questions, gaining valuable hands-on experience in biomedical and public health sciences.

Enrollment: 

60-80 students


Eligibility: 

Undergraduate students entering grades 1-4 in the 2025–2026 academic year or graduate from university school this year with a strong academic foundation, a keen interest in public health, and proficiency in English.
